Privacy Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
LinkedBuddy ("LinkedBuddy", "we", "us") is operated by aPavone Concepts. This policy explains what information LinkedBuddy collects when you use the app — including connecting your LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram account — why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. See our Terms of Service for the rules that govern using LinkedBuddy.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create a LinkedBuddy account we store your email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, never stored in plain text by us), and anything you add to your profile, such as a display name or avatar.
LinkedIn data. If you connect LinkedIn, we store the access token LinkedIn issues (and a refresh token, where provided), your LinkedIn member ID, name, email and profile picture, and the scopes you granted. If you connect company pages, we also store each page's ID, name, logo and follower count. We use this to publish and schedule the posts you create, read back post performance (impressions, reactions, comments) and your own follower count, and — only where you've explicitly asked for it — read comments and messages so the app can help you triage and draft replies to them.
Facebook & Instagram data. If you connect Facebook, we store the access token Facebook issues, your Facebook user ID and name, and — for each Page you manage — its ID, name, picture, a page-scoped access token, and the ID and username of any Instagram professional account linked to that Page. We use this solely to publish the posts you create to a Page you choose, or to its linked Instagram account, and to show you which Pages and Instagram accounts are connected. LinkedBuddy only posts to Pages and Instagram professional accounts you explicitly select — never to a personal Facebook timeline, which Meta's platform policies don't allow in any case.
Content you create. Post drafts, hashtags, uploaded photos/videos/documents, your "voice profile" (tone, audience, topics, writing samples), outreach leads, competitor notes, and message/comment triage notes you enter into LinkedBuddy.
AI processing. When you ask LinkedBuddy to draft or rewrite something, the relevant text (your prompt, voice profile, or pasted content) is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. This content is used only to produce that response for you — we do not use it to train any model.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request metadata) collected by our hosting infrastructure for security and reliability. We use a single session cookie/local token to keep you signed in — no third-party advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: drafting, scheduling and publishing your posts.
- To let you triage inbox messages and post comments, and draft replies.
- To show analytics (impressions, reactions, follower counts) pulled from the platforms you've connected.
- To maintain your account, including authentication and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and working reliably.
LinkedBuddy never automates actions a platform's policies reserve for a human — sending direct messages, replying to comments, or sending connection requests are always drafted for you to copy and send yourself. We never scrape any platform or impersonate you.
How we share your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage provider. All LinkedBuddy data is stored there.
- LinkedIn and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — when you ask LinkedBuddy to publish, schedule or read something, we call their official APIs on your behalf, using the authorization you granted.
- Our AI provider — processes the specific content needed to draft or rewrite text you request.
- Hosting infrastructure — serves the app and stores logs described above.
We don't share your data with any other third party, and never for advertising.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Disconnecting LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram in Settings immediately deletes the stored access tokens and connected-page records for that platform. Deleting your account, or emailing us, removes your account data, including drafted/scheduled content, within a reasonable time — published posts remain on the platform you published them to, governed by that platform's own policies.
Security
Access tokens for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram are stored server-side and are never exposed to your browser or any client application — only our server uses them, and only to perform the actions you request. Row-level security scopes every record to your own account.
Your rights & choices
Wherever you're located, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to disconnect any connected platform, at any time by emailing privacy@linkedbuddy.app. You can also disconnect LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram yourself at any time from the Settings page.
Children's privacy
LinkedBuddy is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the effective date above if this policy changes, and post the updated version here. Material changes will be announced in the app.
